On September 15, RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan met with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Armenia Amal Afifi.
During the meeting, the sides discussed opportunities for expanding economic cooperation between Armenia and Egypt, increasing bilateral trade, and strengthening business ties.
In the context of expanding market access and strengthening business ties, the importance of organising B2B meetings between the business communities of the two countries was emphasised, along with the exchange of information on import procedures and certification requirements.
The sides also discussed opportunities for investment cooperation and prospects for implementing joint projects within free economic zones.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue work in the discussed areas and take practical steps toward further expanding economic cooperation between Armenia and Egypt.
